This is a photoshop montage with Seema superimposed over one of the paintings produced while working with children. The dog "Fapto Fibba" is a character in one of Richards childrens stories.

Seema has done many poetry workshops with children. Here she sits with children performing their poetry in front of the live painting they have produced in Bradford. Seema and Richard combine interactive painting and poetry workshops for children in schools. They also filmed this session and can produce anthologies of childrens poetry when requested. See details on the workshops page

Seema took many pictures while she travelled in India. In this photo her freind Helle sits with some delightful schoolchildren in Village Badala, Northern India. Seema is an experienced photographer having also made films and photographed in Tanzania, Uganda, Denmark, USA and England. She is available to film or photograph events on requests. So full of the joy of life, so relaxed on a beach with your children in Tanzania, where you lived for many years, so passionate, so jealous, so loyal, so honest, so what, you are a poet wrapped in a passionate embrace with a beautiful painting.....

Seema Gill is an international gypsy, having fled the strangulating norms and traditions of her once glorious home country, a land of five rivers. By the time she left, it was a bleeding rainbow with racial and political tensions which had engulfed her lover’s life. Having travelled across the globe, cultures and barriers, from India to Denmark, flying across the equator to East Africa, landing in the middle of the provincial town of Bradford in the U. K, via Mississippi river, then Texas, ending up in the lap of a city of illusions and dreams, London. Her ever lasting search for peace and harmony has turned Seema into a poet, writer, photographer, video film maker. In 1989 she founded and edited a now well established Danish magazine "Soldue" and started a media association 'Third World Voice'. Seema made Tanzania's first, historic, video film on women and environment , 'KUNI’ in Dar es Salaam in 1992. She organised various creative writing and poetry workshops in Bradford, co-editing and staging a play 'Fireflies over Sukhna Lake" at the Theatre in the Mill, University of Bradford in 2000. In response to the September 11 tragedy she compiled and edited a poetry peace anthology, " Sundoves, Bumlebees and Blue Streak Bananas" in the U.K. 2002 and even took duppatta clad traditonal Asian women in a mini bus to view the controversial film, "Bhaji on the Beach".....and so, Seema has tested her dreams in the tumbling fires of cultural extremes anywhere and everywhere. She has recently become the co-director of Paddington International Poetry Festival in London and is currently working to promote a new and exciting arts entity, UPRISE ARTS. Apart from being a poet, writer, photographer, video film maker, ceramic overglaze painter and a yoga therapist, Seema percieves herself as a child on the stage of this ever changing universe and interactively participates in the process of transcending and receiving the glow of energy from all the other energies and so keeps alive the search for harmony and eternal peace.
